Hey Friends!

Memorial Day has come and gone and you know what that means. There is no better place to be this time of year.

Summer in North Georgia is officially HERE!

But can we talk about something that is not getting nearly enough attention right now? The FIFA World Cup is coming to Atlanta this summer and if you live in North Georgia you are sitting in the perfect spot to experience one of the biggest sporting events on the entire planet.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is hosting 8 total matches this summer including three knockout stage games, with the first match kicking off June 15 and World Cup festivities running all the way through the semifinal on July 15. Here is the full schedule:

2026 FIFA World Cup knockout stage schedule showing Round of 32 through the Final with match dates from June 28 through July 19 and host cities including Atlanta highlighted with match times in local city time
2026 FIFA World Cup Group Stage schedule showing all matches from June 11 through June 27 across all host cities including Atlanta with match numbers and local kick off times

Now we are sure you have heard the rumors about tickets costing about as much as a down payment on a house. So instead of risking your savings, here are some incredible ways to soak up all the World Cup energy without stepping foot inside the stadium.

The official FIFA Fan Festival runs June 11 through July 15 at Centennial Olympic Park, less than a mile from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Admission is completely free but registration is required. The festival features four programming zones including a massive main stage with a 40 foot screen broadcasting every single match, concerts, food vendors, cultural programming, and activations for all ages. This is a full day experience and it is right in Atlanta!

Atlanta just opened one of the most incredible sports viewing experiences in the entire country, and the timing could not be more perfect.

Cosm Atlanta just opened at Centennial Yards right next to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, spanning 70,000 square feet across three levels and featuring a massive 87 foot diameter 12K LED dome that creates what they call Shared Reality. Think Las Vegas Sphere but in Atlanta. Right now. Five minutes from the World Cup stadium. Watching Spain vs. Saudi Arabia on that dome screen might honestly be better than being in the actual stands.

If venturing into the city is not on your summer bucket list, take a page out of our book and throw the ultimate World Cup watch party right at home! Here is how to make it legendary...

Brazil themed World Cup watch party food spread with sliders nachos popcorn french fries and drinks in a soccer ball bowl with green and yellow balloons and a soccer match on TV 

Food & Drink

Build a spread inspired by the countries playing that day. Tacos and street corn for Mexico games, tapas and sangria for Spain, jerk chicken for Caribbean teams. Make it a theme and have guests bring a dish from a country playing.

Games & Activities

Set up a bracket challenge at the start of the tournament and track it all summer long. Print out World Cup Bingo cards for every guest with moments like a red card, a penalty kick, a header, and a coach losing it on the sideline. Set up a penalty shootout in the backyard at halftime and crown a champion. Trust us, the adults get more competitive than the kids every single time.

The Setup

Project the game outside if you have a backyard. String lights, lawn chairs, a cooler full of drinks. Outdoor watch parties are everything in a North Georgia summer evening.

Plan the ultimate World Cup Watch Party!

"I want to throw the ultimate World Cup watch party and I need help planning everything from start to finish. Here is my situation: I am hosting [number of people] including [describe your group, ex: adults only, families with kids ages 5 and 8, a mix of both]. My outdoor space is [describe it, ex: large backyard with a patio, small deck, indoor living room only]. My budget for the party is around [amount]. The match I am hosting for is [insert teams playing, ex: Spain vs Saudi Arabia on June 21]. Please help me plan the following: a themed food and drink menu inspired by the countries playing with at least 5 specific dishes and 2 drink options including a non alcoholic option, a full list of games and activities for both kids and adults including setup instructions for each, a decoration checklist to make the space feel festive, a shopping list organized by category including food, drinks, decorations, and supplies, a timeline for the day starting 3 hours before kickoff so I am not scrambling, and any tips for setting up the best outdoor viewing experience. Make it fun, specific, and easy to execute even for someone who has never thrown a party like this before."

Build the Smartest World Cup Bracket

"I want to build the most strategic World Cup 2026 bracket possible so I can win my watch party prediction challenge. Please help me analyze the tournament and make smart picks. Here is what I need: a breakdown of the top 10 strongest teams in the 2026 World Cup and why they are favorites to go deep, an analysis of which Group Stage matchups are the most competitive and unpredictable, your predicted Round of 16, Quarterfinal, Semifinal, and Final matchups based on current form, squad depth, coaching, and historical World Cup performance, your predicted champion and runner up with a detailed explanation of why, the three biggest upset predictions I should consider making to gain an edge over other bracket pickers, and a list of five players I should watch closely because they are likely to be the tournament's breakout stars. Be specific, be bold, and help me make picks that are strategic not just safe."
